Wake up your inner child, sharpen your colored pencils, and pack a bowl...
Because BASA, San Francisco's premium cannabis dispensary & delivery, is sponsoring its first-ever Cannabis-Fueled Coloring Contest for Grownups.
Known to be an 'active meditation,' coloring can put you into a relaxed state. Couple it with medical cannabis and you've got the perfect combination of chill, which we hope will allow you to enjoy the present and reach some inner peace.
Plus, you know, coloring is fun.
Our coloring sheet was illustrated by noted San Francisco-based artist Josh Ellingson. In it, we've combined our love of San Francisco (yep, those are Alamo Square's iconic "Painted Ladies" which are located just a block away from BASA HQ) with several emojis associated with weed. Since our phones don't yet have marijuana-specific symbols, simple emojis like "OK" and "Fire" have been co-opted culturally to communicate discreetly about cannabis. You can think of them as a sort of "cannabis code" for your texting needs, check it out:
While trying to stay in the lines (or not! you rebel), we recommend medicating with one of our more "creativity-inducing" strains, like these BASA best-sellers: Blue Dream, Jack Herer, Girl Scout Cookies, or Alien OG.
I love coloring and cannabis, how do I enter?
To enter, grab the pre-printed entry form and legal-sized coloring sheet by stopping at BASA at 1326 Grove Street (at Divisadero) or by downloading the pdfs of the entry form and the coloring sheet. We will also be including coloring sheets with each delivery order placed at http:trybasa.com until supplies run out. When finished with your masterpiece and have completed filling in the required entry form, drop it off at BASA or give to one of our delivery drivers next time you order.
The contest is free to all current and new members of BASA (sign up here to become a member). It begins February 29, 2016 and ends April 18, 2016. The winners will be announced on April 20, 2016, because, of course, that’s 4/20. One entry per patient. There will be prizes, which will be announced soon. Don’t worry, we won’t use any personally-identifying information without your permission.
